An Unforgettable Experience in Branch Center

In order to support children in difficult circumstances, Pigeon visited Branch Center and gifted children daily necessity in May 2023. That was a memorial visit to Pigeon team spending time on talking, playing with children living in Branch Center and discussing with staffs. That helps team understand children’s special case here and difficulty staffs in Branch Center facing every day to provide food and education to children. Especially 23 babies who are formula fed need more care and attention from not only staffs but also benefactors.

Branch Center located in Phum Lech Wat, Kombol, Phnom Penh, as an orphanage Branch Center is under the management of Unaccompanied Association (UNACAS). The center was established in 1994 on one hectare plot of land by a Cambodian woman with purpose of caring for kids rescued from broken homes. Currently, there are more than 150 children aged from 1 to 14 years-old living in the center and there are 25 caregivers. All of staffs are childless widows who could remain committed to the children. Food is donated monthly by Cambodian benefactors, and sometimes by local visitors. Taking care of many children is not an easy task but Branch Center staff group with hearts full of love to children has overcoming difficulties to raise children. The center believed that supporting them would make a positive difference to unprivileged children’ life. They expect that there are more benefactor and organization pay more attention to Branch Center and children living there.

Pigeon’ purpose is to make the world more baby-friendly by furthering our commitment to understanding and addressing babies’ unique needs. In order to create a baby-friendly future, we aim to grow sustainably as an indispensable part of society by reducing our environmental impact and resolving the social issues that affect babies and their families across all the countries and regions where we operate, and by embracing the challenge of new business endeavors and cooperating with organizations toward to children.
